Maxine Lily Rothstein

Maxine is a licensed cosmetologist with experience in wig building, prosthetics building, makeup design, and hair design. Maxine just recently graduated from The University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in design and production - concentrating in wig and makeup design. She is extremely passionate, reliable, hardworking, and eager to start her career in the industry. Maxine is currently staying in Queens for networking, and will start touring for Big League Productions as the Head hair and Assistant Wardrobe this November for the Broadway show “A Christmas Story”.

Maxine has worked on several productions at UNCSA such as opera, film, theatre, and fashion photography, and is open to all of the opportunities given to her. Maxine worked at Tuacahn Center for the Arts for the summer of 2026 as a Wig Technician where she built, styled, and cut/colored wigs for the production “Grease”. This was a great opportunity where she had gained professional skills, knowledge, and experience. Maxine adapts well, is very flexible, and is always willing to learn.
